I’d be over the moon if they allow the GSEs to buy back 25-50% of the warrants for the weighted average price of the companies for 2024.
Alternate possibility I would be happy with is raising the “strike” price to $5 so the first $5 of each share collected goes back to the companies. Gives enough to get each over their respective caps and then some. Likely enough to instantly turn dividends back on.
There is zero chance the govt gets a conscience and walks away from both SPS and warrants… I’d be thrilled… but aint happening.
Trump's letter to Rand Paul spelled it out too. Treasury can't make a huge profit from selling its common shares unless it owns a ton of common shares. They can't own a ton of common shares unless they exercise the warrants and/or convert the senior prefs.
