Not saying he wasn't basically a decent guy, he certainly had brains going for him, and stamina, in doing all that stuff in the wiki i wandered through just the past lives stuff (if true at that age) would have raised question marks. I mean seriously, is this stuff really worth getting so into:

Krishna : Crooked.? or Not..??

architsaxena Life, Politics, Spirituality, Stories, Wisdom April 6, 2014

People say God is perfect. Is it really so? Maybe. But, only from a certain frame of reference. If you talk from the frame of reference of logic, or reason, you might end up finding God as imperfect as any normal human being.

Let us talk about Krishna. He was, and is, amongst the most respected and wise people of all times. But, according to many, the biggest crook the Mahabharata War ever saw was none other than Him. He has played a key role in the war . He was the one who kept on saying that He would remain neutral and not fight the war on any sides. But, today the entire world knows on whose side He was.

He killed Shishupal infront of the entire court which consisted of the Royal Family and all the Kings and Royals of nearby kingdoms. And that too just because Shishupal was speaking foul words against Him. Now, is that a reason to kill someone..!!

Krishna reveals the secret of killing
Jarasandha to Bheema

The Slain of Jayadratha

Then, he also got Jarasandha killed and that too by a treacherous plan by making him fight a duel with Bheema without revealing the latter’s identity in the first place and secondly, revealing the secret for killing Jarasandha to Bheema. Thus, he cheated again.

A similar story stands for the slain of Jayadratha and Dronacharya as well. And there would be hundreds of such examples which show how treacherous and crooked Krishna was and how biased He was towards the Pandavas. Even after saying not to fight on any side, he was a key player on the side of the Pandavas. But, was He right? Was He really perfect? Was He really God?

Maybe the following lines will answer these questions and tell us why even after such crookedness, He is called God.

When these incidents happened, for the world, Krishna was no God then. He was just an ordinary man with some extraordinary talents. And so, was criticized by people for his extreme injustice and treachery. And people were somewhat right as well. Because treachery is both a sin and crime. And killing someone just because he’s speaking some foul words against you is heinous injustice and taking advantage of one’s influence and power. So, forget about being God, was this man righteous in first place? Hearing these stories, impossible.

But, with time, came out the truth. Shishupal and Jarasandha had huge armies and influential kingdoms. And had He not killed them beforehand, it would have been impossible for the Pandavas to win the Mahabharata war. Also, had Jayadratha been saved, it would be Arjuna who would have died, thus resulting in the defeat of Pandavas and decline of Dharma. Also, behind all other crooked steps of Him, lies some or the other sound, just reason. Though against the rules, logic and the stream of reason, He did all this so that Dharma (righteousness) could be established. And then people realized that He was crooked for a reason. To instill Dharma. To get the country a better king to rule.

It was the eye of knowledge and the perspective of Dharma which later made people realize the reason behind Krishna’s crookedness; which was actually for the well-being of the nation and the humanity at large.

And maybe, this teaches us an interesting fact about God. We cannot understand God from the stream of reason, or logic, or even from the evident facts many a times. Because all these things are the projections of the mind. Our small mind. And God is beyond the purview of our small minds.

He comes under the horizon of our heart. A place where all reason fails. Where all logic is worthless. Where just faith is required.

And that is all.
