Interesting video here by Shawn Kwon, a long-term IonQ investor from Korea. He's friends with DesFrontierTech on X, and they have done several interview videos together on IonQ. Anyway, Shawn takes a close look at a revised 8-K that IonQ recently filed, where certain rather big changes are made to management compensation in the event of a merger or outright acquisition. He seems to think these type of guarantees are often made right before a merger/acquisition takes place to protect the executives. You have to turn on English translation, as the video is in Korean, and the auto-translate is shitty .... but you can get the gist of it. Might just be a proactive protection the IonQ executives are making now that the quantum sector is heating up, and IonQ is ramping up quickly.

In any event, it's great due diligence for those of use who are information hungry.

Agreed. I have no math or science education, so I have given up any hope of understanding anything IonQ is doing except in the most general way. I read this stuff and hope to form just a layman's understanding of it. Crazy times we live in, where only a couple hundred people across the globe truly understand this stuff. And like you said, how can anyone at the patent office even understand this stuff enough to make a determination if a patent should be granted or not? When I read it, it feels like my brain is oozing out my ears. LOL.
