C'mon, don't be paranoid. The simple truth is depressing enough. Biden appointed reasonable people, who in ordinary times would have acquitted themselves blamelessly, even with distinction.
But Trump stirred something really ugly that was latent in our society, and it's becoming more, not less, threatening.
