I posted a link here some months ago that was an interview with one of the top Hezbollah guys. He maintained that they were different from Hamas because they care about the Lebanese people whereas Hamas does not care about Palestinians.
And what choice does Hezbollah have? In 40 years of their reign they have done nothing for Lebanon’s economy but destroy it. And with Iran currently truly fucked Hezbollah has no one any longer to have their backs. And I guess Israel finds them relatively sane and a trustworthy party to a ceasefire.
And since you’re so well read on all things Israel, let me ask you this: why hasn’t Hamas released the hostages, which would pave a way for a ceasefire there? I’m guessing they’re all dead or have been sold into slavery elsewhere but I’m sure you support the Al-Jazeera line about it, whatever it is
As far as Australia recognizing the Palestinians as permanently entitled to Gaza and the WB, that’s good but when did Australia pass the referendum to have an indigenous voice in your parliament? Or pass the Uluru Statement? Oh, that’s right, never. But definitely look over there at the singularly nasty Israelis.
The conversation you reproduced failed to describe the background of any of the panelists . But their repeated reference to Israelis as “ the Jews” tells you all you need to know. As if Arabs and Christians and Druze don’t live there and serve in the IDF and the government. Let’s just blame “the Jews”
