dbergh, Yes, Biden could have stayed there, but every indication was it was a war that would continue. When it was clear American voters didn't want American boots on the ground and it was clear the Taliban were going to end up taking over the place. Is terribly sad for the Afghanistan people, but Vietnam sealed their fate long before.
