It's kinda funny about Japan and Tokyo, They seem to be a citizenship hiding from themselves.
My friend who was also my boss at one of my jobs who was also my sponsor and right winger in a over 45 and up through the years hockey league was also second from top in the company his family has owned for over 60 years.

After dinner almost every time and trip his contacts and host would take them to some of the most explicit full sex shows and clubs he's never imagined. So many of the sales people male or female frequent these all the time all over.
But except for the lowest almost ghetto spots, none of this was advertised. The audiences could also participate. All venues had anything you want to drink, including beer machines and wine machines, like our pop machines. They told them 'We're going to some live entertainment to relax and he thought 'oh good bands and stuff, or maybe a little topless dancing." He said he's seriously never seen some of the grossest sex acts ever with things and objects he didn't think possible. And my friend is far from a prude or inexperience with bars. It was... overwhelming.
The next day nothing was said and nothing could be said. Yes, we have strip clubs, and yes vegas and others have exclusive live sex clubs but it shocked him how normal all the customers seemed to think this was and how wide spread it was. This is only a few years ago.
