The whole event was well beyond "not good", and the headliner of the event is responsible. You know like "the buck stops here"? His crap was just the start of the shit show that was Trump's MSG rally the troops vile, crass and evil event. Like we're supposed to believe this crap, lol, and you seem to be doing your best to accept the whole thing as normal by defending the substance of what transpired!

According to the BBC's US partner CBS, a source familiar with the event confirmed that the Trump campaign vetted Hinchcliffe's list of jokes - but the comments about Puerto Rico, Latinos and black people were ad-libbed. The campaign also said it cut two profane jokes.

You are the one taking the word pf republicans claiming the joke was not in the material they vetted. I don't place any credence in the claim. Considering the blowback has been so strong the motivation to lie is strong.
