I never said he did engage in partisan politics. I simply said he was a politician given his stature since 2015 when appointed as Chief of Staff of the Army. He continued that role(politician) with Woodward and his book.
He now has a teaching gig...is gigging with JP Morgan as a senior advisor...and is raking in the big bucks as a key note speaker. If he has shut up about politics ..then I would consider him retired from such.
I've always understood there..... jelly bean. He was a horrible pick by Trump and Trump went against advisement. He took no blame for Afghanistan when he was part architect...and sought fit in blaming Biden and his Admin for the debacle. He had a long credited career until taking the JCS gig...so I am not going to rip him entirely for that fuck up run as JCS.
