The retired General knew his path from the start...set out down that path and achieved his goals. His primary means of study was an undergrad in political science and a masters in international affairs. Grounded in politics.
Through the master’s degree in international relations, you will:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of global issues — such as international politics, economics, and law – to develop multicultural competence. - Use social science methods to examine economic, political, social, and environmental processes and implications of international interactions. - Learn to navigate rapidly changing circumstances, deepening your knowledge of the world and its complexities. - Develop critical insights into the precursors, processes, and outcomes of international interactions between governments, organizations, and individuals.
You better damn well expect that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is a skilled politician. For if he his not...he will be a failure. Would you prefer any high ranking military individual not be skilled in politics? I may not like politicians, but I will be damned if I wouldn't want one a very skilled one in there against another politician representing a foreign power....especially an enemy.
