Then what exactly does one call what they are doing to voting centers and people?
At a guess, I'd say they're breaking a number of laws. Sending white powder to officials or to anyone else is a threat. Swatting people is a threat. And anyone who does that stuff should be prosecuted.
It would be easy for us to say people never did that stuff in the past. But they did, at least in some parts of the country. Let's not forget lynchings in the South. Violence in some inner cities. And as to what you're talking about, voter intimidation was not exactly unknown. But I think fewer people talked about it, and the people being intimidated were less likely to complain.
But of course I have no statistics...
