i'm wondering if that investment in LITV..for "the business channel"....was for "the rights" to carry it over here...and distribute it as such..i have no idea..but hope that is it or similar....would be a nice bank in my opinion--remember..it was a scaled investment..."intial investment"....and a "up to" amount---just need to temper thoughts here...stay on the ground..and wait for what is---still adding though..gotta play the risk..lol--have fun!
Agent, Murdoch yes I know of them...but they don't own GZFX or any part of it and therefore I don't see any connection, seems just another person/co. doing it here in the U.S...did I miss something?
you have the fattest cat in town bringing on the most "talked up" new channel.....(first)here comes gnf...and they bring in their own channel with THE SAME NAME ...now if you get there first..people will tune in "assuming" that it is fox's gig....they realize their error..but too late..because they like what they see(on the hook)----(second) we have THE NAME ..IT EXISTS IN THE UK CURRENTLY....AND IS REGISTERED HERE.... could develop into pay out(or similar)...to kill the confusion..doubt it...but a slim give......could still be a give..eh?
a "local"(for me)..case in point:
Citizens Bank of Evans City now NexTier Bank Pittsburgh Business Times - October 11, 2005by Patty Tascarella
Citizens National Bank of Evans City, which has been operating in the Pittsburgh area for 127 years, will now be known as NexTier Bank.
The name change for the 15-branch financial institution is the result of an agreement between Citizens National Bank and Providence-based Citizens Financial Group, which entered the commonwealth in 2001 by purchasing the branches of Mellon Financial Corp.
For nearly four years, the two banks battled in the courts over the rights to the name citizens. This spring, they reached an agreement where the Citizens name would be released to Citizens Financial Group, whose subsidiary, Citizens Bank of Pennsylvania, operates 152 branches in Western Pennsylvania.
The name "NexTier" was selected by July but kept under wraps. Employees were informed Monday, Columbus Day, a banking industry holiday. The official announcement was Tuesday.
"The name not only reflects the bank's business growth strategy," president Margaret Weir said in a statement, "but also our willingness to listen to our customers, evolve our services to meet their needs and help them reach the next level of financial security, and life."
To celebrate the name change, all 15 NexTier branch locations in Butler, Armstrong and Allegheny counties are distribute "free samples" to walk-in consumers. Envelopes containing cash in denominations of $1, $5 or $50 will be handed out at all branches on a first come, first serve basis, starting at 8 a.m., while supplies last.
Weir said the look of some NexTier offices will be updated to reflect a "customer focused approach to banking," which includes unusual amenities such as gourmet coffee machines and lobby coin counting machines.
......it is something to think about down the pipe...banking and entertainment are completely different monsters...and just a "what if?"....but i can tell you this personally...the pay off to citizens(nextier)...WAS FAT!
