I believe those cars fall under the tarriffs now and they are itching to get into Mexico where a bunch of Chinese cars are on the roads already but there's another hitch. The USMCA is set to be renewed in 2026 and Mexico does not want to piss its trade partners off. It seems the "master negotiator" left a huge loophole in his redrawing of the original NAFTA which he said at the time was a terrible deal. He made it worse and now it might have to be re-written again unless some lines in the sand get drawn.. China won't stop until someone stops them.

This is another article I found earlier today when I decided to look up my own question.. As usual, the dipshit was complaining about a problem he helped to cause and was apparently too busy looking for immigrants on our side of the fence instead of policing what was going on with China and Mexico while he was in office..
