IMO - I don't think they think that, or he wouldn't still be stumbling around. The need him to take votes away from Biden, that I believe is his reason for being.

I'm pretty sure rfk himself made the comment that he is there to mess up Biden some months ago. As well as some of the gop 8 also commented.
