I don't know if the commission will be based on the online price or the phone-in price (Schwab will sometimes apply the online commission to a phone-in when a special feature isn't supported online).
Do you have any data to back up this claim?..... Just kidding....
Schwab has always granted me the online price as well when the feature isn't supported online, like writing cash backed puts from my IRA. Otherwise there'd be no reason for me to call them...
BTW, for Options trading from about 20 contracts on up I find Schwab's prices to be very competitive with the lowest out there.
