No lawsuits can or should be filed until the Democrats formally announce Karmala as their Presidential candidate. One can now say it's official as Karmala was certified as the Democratic nominee after earning the majority of roll call votes 2 days ago.
Any legal challenges are likely to fail. Biden made his decision to step down before the virtual roll call to nominate their candidate and four weeks before the convention itself is scheduled to begin. State rules tend to accept whom a major party formally makes its nominee.
