Could not agree more. Illinois is a really nice state if you steer clear of Chicago. Some parts of it are a little TOO rural for my taste. I'm about 15 miles south of Ft Wayne, IN. which is a much cleaner, friendlier city than Chicago. If I want to make the trip I can access the modern shopping places.
