We have evangelical factions in this country, factions who have great influence in the halls of government, the same people who put on the National Prayer Breakfast every year, who are actively promoting such laws in sub-Saharan Africa and elsewhere.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”

When you drive people off their land and build "settlements" for your own ethnic group, you have no claim to any moral high ground.

When you beat your breast and ask plaintively, "Where are Jews supposed to go?" then come to Teaneck, New Jersey offering great opportunities for the right kind of Jewish person to resettle on the land where you just drove out families who have lived there, in some cases for centuries, and bulldozed olive trees that their great grandparents had planted, you have no claim to any moral high ground.

If tomorrow Hezbollah were to reduce to rubble every settlement in the West Bank, you would still have no claim to any moral high ground. You are illegally colonizing occupied territory in direct violation of international law

Israel may never have signed the Geneva Conventions, but the United States certainly did. Most of it we wrote. And yet where Israel is concerned, they appear to be meaningless.

On Turkey, why would you say anyone here 'would be thrilled' at the prospect that Netanyahu's genocidal attacks on Palestinians and Israel's attacks on other countries in the region could one day result in a wider war. I wouldn't think anyone here would be, and i certainly wouldn't lower myself to telling anyone else that they would be thrilled at any escalation of the murder which is going on. How many Palestinians are being murdered every day? Umm, roughly 39000 in 300 days is about 130 a day.

Not sure i recall you crying about his other interventions, could you give us a link in evidence you did, i wonder. If he did invade Israel then it would be because he had his own reasons, perhaps Israel should consider that.
