One main problem is that some traders will request to be a moderator on a board just to bash the stock.

I understand they're entitled to their own opinion, but no, they are not entitled to be a moderator and only be negative on a stock and remove posts that are positive if not of topic.

It happens quite frequently as in Daily.

They pick off-topic cause they're too lazy to scroll to the real reason............

Most posts removed by a huge margin are "Off Topic" which makes it a subjective decision and opens it up for misuse by some less than desirable Mods..

It is not difficult to figure out whether a post is on topic or not. At least for most people. The mods certainly know what is and is not on topic. The admins, however, may not. For example, another stock may be brought into the conversation. That would usually be off topic, but not if that other stock is a direct competitor of the issuer that's the subject of the board. So, obviously, if someone has a post removed that is not really off topic, he should request an admin review and in it, explain why the two stocks are connected.

This is not rocket science. Words like "topic" have meaning.

If a post is deleted as OT then it can be appealed.

As I Mod I review all posts that are deleted and those that are restored to make sure that I am current on the TOU rule interpretation.
