No "gotcha", I spent over a year on a board here going round and round with a group of anti-vaxers until I finally gave up. It was like beating my head against a brick wall.

Mind you, these are the same people that are still calling for Dr. Fauci to be executed.. These ideas aren't born in a vacuum, most of the time it's coming from the GOP congress critters themselves. Now they've created so much skepticism in our general population that people are getting skittish when it comes to the current booster regimens.

I just want to keep the facts straight because a lot of bullshit gets smeared around this subject. Why you chose to revisit it now is your decision. I'm glad you clarified what you were talking about because information starts to get convoluted in a string of posts and replies.

Now, I could go through the dozens of ways that the former guy and his son-in-law completely botched the response and tried to personally profit from PPE allocations but trust me, the pharmaceutical companies were way out in front of the problem before operation "Warp Speed" even appeared in one of the former administration's wet dreams. It was only then that they realized how badly they fucked up by eliminating our pandemic preparedness supply stocks and slashing the CDC and NIH budgets.

They are prepared to do it all over again if they regain power so that should also be in your frame of mind when you go to pull the lever in November. As if treating women like cattle and losing all the retirement benefits and health care that you worked for and paid into all your life isn't enough to wake you up..

It was mentioned that there was a vax for the newer variant followed by a booster, both in the latter part of '23. So not even a full year removed from the latest Covid vaxxes.

I received both of those and a 3rd one 3 months ago. You're underestimating the longer term effects of both infection and vaxxes on the immune system, as discussed in this article I posted.

https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2022/01/14/1072504127/fact-check-the-theory-that-sars-cov-2-is-becoming-milder

Just as the virus is changing and evolving, so is your immune system. At the population level, immunity to SARS-CoV-2 is growing rapidly in the United States. More than half of the U.S. population has likely been infected. After the omicron surge, that percentage could rise above 80% or 90%. And more than 60% of people are vaccinated.

Both of those types of exposures to SARS-CoV-2 will reduce a person's risk of severe disease in future surges, many studies have found. "Whether you've been previously infected or vaccinated, you're more likely to have a milder course than a person who is immune naive," Goldstein says.

And thus, over time, all future variants will likely look less severe than delta or earlier versions of the virus. "Even if the variant had no change in virulence, if the population now has a high level of existing immunity, then [the variant] will, in effect, be less virulent because the average severity of infections will go down over time," he says.

So the hope among scientists is that no matter what the virus throws at us, future waves of COVID-19 will be less deadly and less disruptive, not because the virus itself has changed but because our bodies will be better able to handle the virus.

It isn't "my lying eyes" lol Some of you folks feel like you are getting a "goch cha" moment on me.

Probably more like no one cares what you think.
Doesn't look like anyone is working very hard to 'goch cha' you. IMO
