Took you an hour to google those easy questions and you still got 3 wrong? You never said you're a photographer though, so it's understandable. But why did you even try to answer any of these questions when you've never professed experience in the subject? Even I have to look around for things I forgot from the past. I have opinions all the time, but I'm never going to tell Hookrider how to work a rig or question his expertise. Why would I doubt or try to make him look bad like you do to people. I'm not that insecure.

A red filter can be used as a UV type effect, giving shade shade/contrast changes in black and white, or even color. On a projector or camera lens. All modern cameras have a internal UV filer to block red frequencies. Removing it gives effects that some desire.

silver halide is not an additive, it's the sensitivity chemical/solid embedded in the negative emulsion.
