i googled and mrna-1083 encodes for 2 segments of spike protein versus the entire spike protein of spikevax, so a shorter length mRNA to enable lower dosing to get comparable antibody response (or higher antibody response w comparable dosing)
I assume regulators are allowing them to use neutralizing antibodies instead of clinical endpoints for this next gen covid vaccine, but I don't follow MRNA and can't confirm this

It's understandably confusing. My suggestion on brand naming going forward would be simple. Spikevax-2, Spikevax-3, etc., in the same vein as Microsoft Windows. The COVID component should change radically over time and bi-annually strain selection seems to be in the best interests of the public.

I do not know the difference between mRNA-1283 and Spikevax, but MRNA refers to mRNA-1283 as its “next generation” COVID vaccine.

I'm not sure I have ever heard you admit you don't know something on this MB.Therefore I thought you were referencing nomenclature and missed your point. Sorry for the confusion.
