You ire is disproportionate to the act. This is the GOP that denies SCOTUS hearings to Dems when there's a vacancy and which exercises many procedural moves to thwart the will of the majority of the population that Dem Senators represent.
So the pearl clutching, fainting couch, faux outrage expressed by GOP Senators over this vote is.....as I've just described.
The GOP DOES need to be made accountable for positions that they deny having AND that their candidate is espousing. Those are grounds for 'gloves off' for the Dems.
