Nearly 160 companies fled New York since 2020

New York has lost almost $1 trillion as asset management companies head to the Sun Belt.

Between early 2020 and 2023, 158 companies that manage $993 billion in assets moved their headquarters out of New York, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Texas and Florida have received an influx of companies leaving California and New York — and the economic boom that comes with it.

I worked on a bunch of stuff at Google's west side location. I watched the neighborhood flip from a shit house to an incredible uprising, re inspiring people like me. Plus working at google was really cool. We were just doing construction but all the amenities were there for us. LOL I never ate so good for free in my life and most likely never will again.

People might bitch and moan, maybe even use the word gentrification. I'm here to say there's nothing wrong with that from my perspective. That site was nothing but a hell hole for years and I knew it but once they moved in , it turned that area straight back around.

They give back too, a lot of people don't know that and would just rather complain.
