Makes it sound as if poor Manchin was driven out of office by those evil Progressives. Not so. He dabbled with the idea of running for the presidency as a third party candidate, and then abandoned it.
In addition, he's 76. He probably thinks he's old enough to retire. But had he chosen to run for the senate again as a Dem, or even as a third party candidate, he'd probably have won.
