This makes no sense. No mater how many shares you had before pre split, you will make the same percentage of money if it is 1 share of 4,000,000 shares
Well that makes as much sense as the push-down accounting going on here. Gains and losses are calculated in percentages, therefore the number of shares one holds is irrelevant.
A 75% loss on 100 shares requires just as much upside as to break even as someone holding 4M shares. The sting is just felt less on the 100 shares.
