he's an absolute jerk. I still can't believe we elected him at one point. Even if he's convicted in this current trial nobody is going to have the intestinal fortitude to throw his sorry ass into a jail where he belongs.. He wrecked our whole nation by throwing normal political discourse out of the window and rebirthing the latent racism and hatred that was pushed into the background before.

It's a sad state of affairs when people have their basic human rights stripped from them by a minority of the electorate..

Cue the song 'What a Fool believes'. One has to have the heart of an extortionist/blackmailer, or of one bent on retribution, to impute those traits to the political opposition and at the same time believe that actions stemming from those traits are OK for a president.

For example like the asshole who made that imperfect phone call to Zelensky to extort dirt on Joe Biden. Or as in another imperfect GA call in which Trump falsely suggested that Raffensperger could have committed a criminal offense by refusing to overturn the state's election results.

As for his 'even if....'? The orange wannabe 'dictator for a day' makes no allowance for the 'if nots', of which he compiled a💩 load.

Most presidents come to the office with a rudimentary understanding of the separation of powers and they know that there are no such things as 'perfect' presidential phone calls to the AG of the U.S. to order the AG to investigate a member of the political opposition. And no one appointed as AG does not understand that there is no DOJ 'rule' that states the AG must pursue the president's vendettas notwithstanding that president's claim to be his supporters' 'retribution'.

Most presidents also know enough to consult their presidential lawyer if they are unsure of the legality of anything they are thinking of doing. Trump doesn't clear the low bar of 'rudimentary'.

"If a President does not have Immunity, the Opposing Party, during his/her term in Office, can extort and blackmail the President by saying that, 'if you don’t give us everything we want, we will Indict you for things you did while in Office,' even if everything done was totally Legal and Appropriate," Trump posted on Truth Social.
