No the laws DO NOT. In fact, according to law (~2012-2013) coverage was EXPANDED to "LIFETIME" for the former President(s).
The POINT of my post was to suggest they revisit (& rewrite) the law!
Especially for those convicted of committing a crime: Why should TAXPAYERS be beholden to their part of the COVENANT when there's criminality at issue? Criminal behavior should NOT be rewarded & criminals should be FORCED to relinquish those privileges.
When my kids were younger THEY KNEW: If they broke the rules, they handed over their keys, laptop/tablets, phone, & suffered THEIR CHOICE!
If, for example, they thought it important to 'take care of a friend' & the consequences of breaking CURFEW meant; no car, &/or other privileges; then when they came home late: They'd leave the keys, electronic devices, cell, etc., on the table (on their way to their room). No questions asked. They KNEW what was expected of them & the consequences: So they made an ADULT decision.
Adult reality = Do the crime, DO THE TIME! Period. Otherwise, what's the point? REWARD leaders in positions of power & authority for violating the rights of others? Of course it's too late now. But, in the future. For now rewrite it & name the rule of law after TRUMP! The first President to face these circumstances (a criminal trial) & so it would be appropriate (imv) to highlight his behavior/LEGACY!
Of course he's NOT going to like it. But that's just too bad! Don't break the law!
