I figured it out when I heard a fire and brimstone preacher on the AM radio asserting the fact that believing.in this god provided the believer with immense capabilities to handle the problems in their lives -- Me knowing the ability of the human mind to do great things (we are surrounded by great thing created by the minds of genius) realized that it was a true thing -- believing gave the believer a capability to solve personal problems -- so there it is, the essence of religion -- self-hypnosis -- a real thing -- isn't imagination great -- imagine a supreme force, creating heaven and earth, and everything, and imagine it/he/she looks after you and gives you a smidgin of its power -- enjoy
