You probably won't find much Licher Bier anywhere but in the local area.
The Germans tend to go with local brews, so when I was in Budingen, Licher and Wächtersbacher were popular... Wherever you went though there were local favorites. Germans wouldn't drink national brands like Lowenbrau or Becks. I don't know how much that's changed in 40 years though.
