I used to make what I thought were jokes about every time someone got into an accident that it was Pete Buttigieg's fault when it obviously wasn't. After what happened this morning and all the blame for a wayward 1000 foot long boat that sadly smashed into a bridge coming from the right I'll never joke about it again.
People blaming DEI, illegal immigrants, our infrastructure and our current administration as well just drives me nuts. That powerless cargo ship that weighs as much as a skyscraper would have taken out anything it hit, it's sad but there was no way to avert it in the moment.
A disaster for sure, but this will be tied up in courts for the next 20 years trying to get some entity to compensate the victims of this tragedy, let alone having to salvage the old structure and build a new bridge... until then, it's on us, not anyone in the administration.
