The Israeli settler movement is Israeli policy. The territories are Israel. They will never be returned and Bibi has said without nuance, there will never be a Palestinian state. It's convenient for you to say the people in your Bantustans will never have rights, but that's them, not Israel... In "Israel" all people have rights, well "separate but equal" rights anyway. It's as if those conquered lands are anything but your concentration camps, their inhabitants anything but your prisoners.
The head of the IDF is a settler. Settler violence is carried out under the auspices of the IDF. The pattern is as predictable as the seasons. An outpost is established. The IDF protects them while the government pretends they disapprove. Violence and terror against the local population ensues, and when the inhabitants have been murdered or driven out, their villages and groves are razed, settlements are built, and Israel annexes the land. Then they aren't settlements. They're part of your glorious free and demokratik nation. Are there any Palestinians living there? No. They aren't citizens. They live in the filth and squalor below you, where you dump your sewage. They aren't allowed to cross your roads or visit their families without permission and harassment.
I worked with an observant guy from NYC who told me all his political choices were made based on what he saw as good for Israel. That's you. You think my calling it "your government" is an asshole move? How am I wrong?
