Democracy Reporting International assesses parliaments' perfomances and advocates for strong and effective legislatures. Constitutions provide the essential framework of a democratic state, determining the distribution of power, the role of democratic institutions and the inclusiveness of political systems.
To include all stakeholders, DRI has worked with media to ensure effective reporting on electoral reforms, as well conducted outreach and awareness raising campaigns to reach the wider public – fostering electoral discussions and debates to enhance knowledge and trust in the electoral process. DRI also has a track record of electoral assistance to election management bodies or to analyse and enhance electoral technology
DRI is also a recognised European leader in developing and anchoring social media monitoring in international and domestic election observation,
Currently, the organisation has country offices in Ukraine, Lebanon, Tunisia, Libya, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Pakistan.
Mar 2014 Following the Euromaidan revolution, DRI opens a country office in Ukraine.
Dec 2016 Following the controversial US elections and UK Brexit referendum, DRI starts closely examining the danger of disinformation on social media for democratic discourse and participation.
