How long this will take is anyone’s guess but at least it is now on track. It should have never come to this but this is where we are now as a country, America.
I don't know who wrote that line in the post but in all due respect I'd like to make a comment.
I say it's not where we are now as a country, it's what the congress is at. It's where the supreme court is at. I don't recall ever being personally asked to go to the voting booth for a special Ukraine support vote. It's been almost 2 whole years of the dicktator puken's insane invasion and I don't remember being asked my opinion. I'd say it's less than 30% of the population is insane magat's as well.
I wouldn't have hesitated to vote for aid and assistance to Ukraine because I believe it's the right thing to do. I didn't vote in a single maga gop asshole at all. Are all the dems I voted in all angels? Hell no. Are the insane magat's trying to stay in power by decimating democracy and supporting puken who seems more and more behind a substantial amount of the American sufferings-fuck yes.
A majority of Americans aren't with the maga program and we are not to blame for what this fucked up congress and supreme court are attempting to do. It's the percentage of maga assholes that voted them in. Along with the gop monsters who gerrymandered the piss out of millions of people.
So no, it's not where the majority of the country is at.
Jeffries names potential GOP allies in Ukraine aid fight
"And so it Begins ... Ukraine Aid Discharge Petition Underway"
Feb 21, 2024 IMAGE House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) on Wednesday pointed to a pair of prominent House Republicans as possible partners in the effort to secure a vote on aid to Ukraine.
Why it matters: House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) has so far refused to hold a vote on a bipartisan Senate bill with aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.
What he's saying: Jeffries, in an appearance on "The View," cited comments made by Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) and Mike Turner (R-Ohio) at the Munich Security Conference.
* "They both expressed to [Ukrainian] President Zelenskyy and to us in our conversations that they want to find a way forward, to work together and to get this bill on the floor for an up or down vote," he said.
* The comment comes as Democrats have taken steps to force a vote on the Senate bill – but the maneuver would require Republican signatures.
Zoom in: Turner, the chair of the House Intelligence Committee, was one of the few Republicans who questioned Johnson's decision .. https://www.axios.com/2024/02/04/mike-johnson-gop-israel-bill-dissent .. to hold a vote on an Israel aid bill without funds for Ukraine or Taiwan.
* Fitzpatrick, the chair of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, has proposed a scaled-down alternative to the Senate bill that includes border restrictions.
* Spokespeople for the two lawmakers did not immediately respond to Axios' requests for comment.
What's next: Interest groups are beginning to put pressure on staunchly pro-Ukraine Republicans to support a discharge petition.

Steve Scalise returning to full travel schedule after cancer treatment IMAGE House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) is hitting the ground running after undergoing treatment for blood cancer, he told Axios in an interview.
