yeah, that's the one. safety is not a big feature of theirs, surprised there are not more cave-ins. 24 beers is a "case of beer" or a rack, and a 12 pack is often referred to as a "half rack". I miss beer, haven't had one in 15 years, when I came home from the hospital for a mild heart attack both beer and tobacco moved into my rear-view mirror, although I sometimes have a drink or so of diet soda with Tito's vodka (fewest calories and no sugar due to watching the blood sugar like a hawk)
The slang is heavily weighed to mining terms, so would probably be a bit foreign to anyone. It is kind of unique among tv content in that it doesn't use conflict as a vehicle to drive the narrative. (the american gold mining "reality" shows thrive on conflict, so it is refreshing in that way) Even the bargaining part of selling their opal to outback dealers is amiable with running streams of humor and a lot of energy put into making everyone happy with nary a victim claim in sight. Looks like a much smoother culture than our outback rough and tumble stuff with cowboys and crystal hunters here.
As to accent, I still get accused of having a canadian accent, even though I grew up on the US side of the border very near there and I am long gone from there. I recently saw a map that showed north dakota and northern minnesota as having linguistic ties to canada.
