Yep, understand that and best of luck to all of those. Gotta say though Young Thug's defensive spiel feels like much of Donald Trump's so-called defense efforts. This is a good, fact heavy read:

To a point, as no doubt racism still does exist in many corridors and corners, he would be right, but seriously many Black artists and rappers would have the freedoms he is talking about.
It's the forget about me, look at the others, cloudy it up, distractive 'I'm a victim' approach. It's a good read that one.
Back to the music.
Listening to learn and feel hasn't grabbed me much at all either. Even some solid hard tough rock which i've never been much into has interested much more. This outfit i remember i listened to:

and still enjoy. While fully understanding, and seriously appreciating, how many born into tough, underprivileged, dangerous neighborhoods - good people with good aims - can be attracted to the world of gold and glitter (Trump's world) the music

still just hasn't caught me. LOL one of the reasons is i miss some lyrics and even a few words spoils some from that direction. That though also goes for music from our time.
i know it's the music itself. The feel.
Surely if i were in the environment, was exposed to more, and knew some of the decent people involved i would enjoy more of it.
