From what I've read so far, roman is trying to get willis thrown out along with his case. So he has his own ulterior motives. I guess he believes if he gets Willis in trouble no one will take the case. Which isn't true at all. It has been stated that if willis goes, her whole department will be removed from the case and some other department would need to pick it up. But that doesn't make sense as the DA office has plenty of other lawyers ready and I don't believe they can remove the state from the case. It's not like a firm from the street and another firm can jump in.
