There was an article in my older discovery magazine I used to get about scientific discoveries about reading and how it helps the brain all through life. They also found that how we read and see fonts when we read strengthens data retention. The more difficult to read fonts slowed down the process but improved memory and data storage after the fact.
Unfortunately discovery magazine went full on money generation and turned their website into a major pay wall. Actually I think it's the owners that did it. All their magazines are going the same way. Used to be able to link to actual stories in any issue, but now no longer.
But the first thing I thought of while reading the magazine itself was orangedonshittypants and his penchant for not reading. On the d-w-a-c board I posted about this and suggested that shittypants never could read or reads very poorly and never wanted to admit it. It's entirely possible to run companies and have other people do your reading. Orangefatass is known to throw stuff at subordinates and tell them to read it and report oral about it.
