Hello SoGozHer,

For the proceeds of the buyback to appear on your annual brokerage account statement, did you have the buyback funds wired to your e-trade account or wired to your bank account?

I was told no 1099 needed as your stock broker firm either gave you the tax write off or the buy back, since they authorized the stock buyback, your annual account statement should have that. Mine did. I have eTrade.
