EV when something is extremely undervalued is every bit a useful too to help people see potential in the COMPANY itself. Share value will eventually reflect the company and its extremely large financial operation and importance to the US lender/real estate market in general. If this was to cease to exist? The system would completely fall apart.

It's actually not an equity restructuring. It was a restructuring and slimming down/streamlining of the operations the GSEs perform. Which is why it's extremely profitable making massive revenues despite it being limited under FHFA Director led conservatorship.
