#4065 RE: upndown1313 #4064

Upndown, There are numerous ways that the deal/deals might be constructed. Since CX-717/ADHD will now be a hot property again for partnering, it could be partnered separately with a pharma that has a particular interest in ADHD. And with Servier now out of the picture and the global Neurodegenerative rights reassembled, that gives another area for partnering, with a BP that has a particular interest in AD/Parkinson's/Neurodegenerative diseases. That deal would also involve Cortex's high impacts, with the BP also providing Cortex with some ongoing R+D funding.

Other possibilities might include a single large BP wanting to partner the whole enchilada. Or Cortex might possibly want to partner global Neurodegenerative/high impacts in 2007, but keep CX-717/ADHD inhouse and then partner it after doing a larger ADHD Phase 2b. So there are many ways to do it. The combination of having CX-717 safely back in the mix, plus the global Neurodegenerative rights reassembled, provides a lot of favorable partnering scenarios for Cortex.

Then there is the non-Ampakine in-licensing idea. As Neuro suggested, it might make sense to wait until the plans for these other deals are finalized before pulling the trigger on that one.
