Umm, you would know it's obviously only spontaneous as much as audience management allows, or encourages, spontaneity. Is there an entertainment show as his that doesn't us, "Applaud now" signs. I've never been to one so wouldn't know, still wouldn't think so. As he has said he is entertainment, he's not gonna take the risk of a totally spontaneous audience. Surely.
Bill used laugh tracks during covid. Does he pad his show now? No way of knowing for sure. I think he does but not fully. It feels like too much pause time is filled in. I'll have to listen some more, I don't care for him because he flip flops too much, but even though my hearings not what it used to be, my experience makes up for it. It's hard to explain, but I've been trained on 'technical audio'.
