If biblical scripture is less laden with calls for violence against the infidels how then to explain the Crusades, the religious wars that ravaged Europe, colonial expeditions across the world to 'convert' the heathens and the genocidal campaigns against the Native American population?
The spread of Christianity was every bit as murderous as the spread of Islam and it's clear that the perps were not misinterpreting the Bible but rather using it to justify all that they did.
If only Christians were as true to their Bible as Islamic terrorists are true to their Quran.
