Jesus called out a a particular group, “You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned”. We can love our neighbors but also call out lies deception as well. People tend to lose that fact with Jesus. A particular reference to liars and thieves in the scripture are associated with those: “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires”. Jesus came with a sword and was a radical divider, by the word, in the name of God and the Kingdom.
We pray for those lost however we can call them out. Liars and thieves for one.
