Maybe it just took this long for the system to catch up with him. Perhaps he got a "pass" from the toothless watchdogs of congress not policing their own. But if it is true, someone might have been holding that in reserve to take him down whenever necessary. It appears there is ample ammo to scandal this guy out of office even without this sword. As you say, we shall see.
I see they censured Tlaib for a couple things she said. No first amendment for democrats. (i am not even sure what she said, but my impression her sin was "speaking while muslim" about the actions of the day). Your boy Santos says provable lies daily, which is what got him elected in the first place, but that is apparently okay for zero ethic republicans as he got a pass.
