you're only responsible for $50 max and that is usually waived. Getting the card number is easy it's the CRV for online purchases that they need. Also the pro's get a swiped card that typically happen from restaurants, hotels, and any retailer that gets a card and swipes it away from the card holder. I was in a hotel in Canada in which at check-in I gave my discover card but after I saw him make a swiping action he said they didn't take discover so I gave him my Amex card. A month later both cards were swiped at Toys r US and Home Depot within an hour of each other in FL for $500+ and $600 respectively. Both Amex and Discover cancelled the cards on their own. I found out when I tried to buy something online which pissed me off.
