Yes- Mounjaro does provide higher weight loss than Wegovy/Ozempic and by a fair margin in the same amount of time. The question is more along the lines of does it proportionally take away more muscle mass.

If you take the info I posted at face value, it would seem Ozempic takes away more muscle mass than Mounjaro and therefore Mounjaro has an advantage in this aspect. (However Ozempic/Wegovy lists fewer side effect than Mounjaro and Ozempic may have an advantage in tolerability)

While I do think Mounjaro will be at the top of the food chain it is next to impossible to compare any of these drugs unless someday someone runs a head to head trial.

Lilly is really pushing cardio and diet to be included in their trials and a trial they released today had the 800 patients exercise and diet for 12 (?) weeks prior to the trial starting and then only putting <600 in the actual trial, those that lost xx percent first.

And of course no trial is on the same timeline.
