For larger acquisitions the cost of capital impacts the appetite for acquisitions. For a company the size of enta it shouldn’t matter You are correct enta will generate 15M or so on their cash in this environment.
I really doubt there are that many people selling $ENTA because of the fed rate... if anything, $ENTA has 400mm cash, high rate isn't a bad thing for them. Sentiment is lousy but great value here.
I was speaking about the broad market and companies that need to raise cash. ENTA is not in that group. I am sometimes astonished at how much a stock can drop in a short time, especially when I think that EDP-235, ENTA's lead drug, showed good efficacy phase 2. I would like say the bottom is in but I can't say it even at the sub $10 price as I think part of the issue is that a lot of people must feel Covid is over, but it has become endemic.
