Sorry I was looking at the wrong list. For the shorter list:

"1) The ruling was that the Fed couldn't take an equity stake, not Treasury (whose authority to do so was granted by HERA).
2) The ruling was overturned on appeal so it got completely vacated. It has no precedential power at all.
3) The damages were for $0 anyway."


These are also not related. 1.) Nobody cares about the Fed taking an equity stake, that is not an issue so clearly different circumstances. 2.) There is no reverse stock split for the GSEs (yet) so again that does not apply. 3.) There WAS a damages award for the GSEs due to the breach of good faith contract.

You can continue pushing the AIG narrative all you want, there will be those who see similarities and differences and those who only see the similarities.
