VH2020 silkworm breeds has an average cocoon yield of 12.53 kg of cocoon per 6-gram silkworm egg, with a single silk thread length of 800–900 meters, over 85% cocooning rate, and cocoon consumption of less than 7 kg per kilogram of raw silk.
